my gp told me lexapro is not an addictive drug and that people cannot develop a dependence on lexapro, this is fact :) (as it doesn't not contain benzo's...)
drugs work differently for everyone and at the end of the day u must trust your OWN opinion as it will have a different effect on ur body and anxiety than it does for me or anyone else taking it :)
i use it for depression and anxiety and it's beginning to help me, the first couple days i felt quite lethargic but otherwise it settled down in the 2nd week of taking it..
lexapro will help u in curing ur anxiety but also remember having a positive outlook in using the drug is most important and this is when u will see results!
Give it a chance as ur anxiety seems quite serious (seeing as u went to hospital) !
take care
Lexapro only made my depression worse. I am now on Celexa and its better.
Why not try it before deciding what it may not do first.
