Does every auditory hallucination cause brain damage?!

Question: How much damage does it cause? Is the damage worse the louder it sounds?

The hallucinations do not cause brain damage. They are the product of problems in the brain. Psychotic disorders do seem to worsen over time if left untreated. But the hallucinations are just malfunctioning brain activity.

I've not heard that an auditory hallucination causes brain damage. Brain damage might allow someone to have auditory hallucinations. Very interesting.

No.

Everyone has auditory hallucinations from time to time. Some of them may be caused by brain damage, but the hallucination is a symptom, not a cause.

I think a lot of auditory hallucinations are simply people misunderstanding their own awareness of internal thought processes.
