PLEEEaaaaSSSSSeeeeee HHHEEEELLLLLpppp!!!!!!?!

Question: I was diagnosed with depression a long time ago and I have just been going off what the dr's say. I''ve been beeing treated with antidepressants, and lately I notice that I am "melting down" every other day. I cant get to my dr until wednesday and I feel like I am coming out of my skin. I am so drastic in every way and I would just rather not get up tomorrow if I cant get help.
Please give any suggestions u have.

If you have any type of insurance, you can call a number on the back of your card to get a "crisis" appointment to get in within a day. It will fall under "behavioral health". If you can't wait, get into an ER now. If you are need support until your face to face appointment, call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or 1-800-SUICIDE. Keep in mind a med tweak will take at least 3 weeks to work so get help as soon as you can. It WILL get better. Trust me on that one.
Did I understand correctly that you'd rather not be alive for the appointment if you can't see someone soon? Play the piano? Take a bath? Go running? WTF???

go find a hobby. most people turn to a hobby to make themselves feel better. i myself play the piano when im feeling down. hope you feel better!

take a hot bath...and just listen 2 whatever music you like...whatever you do make sure you stay on your med.s if you go off them...matters may get worse...just try not 2 put yourself in any stressfull situations that may make you "melt"

Just remind yourself that it will all get better, and it's not worth the trouble of NOT getting up. If you don't get up, you'll probably miss work/school, and become overloaded, and fall behind, and get into a HUGE mess. Keep in mind that the more you do in your day, the faster it goes. Keep yourself busy and don't give yourself time to think, and Wednesday will come in no time! =]]

the pills they give you probably put you either off balance or out of touch in another way, I would suggest you see a good homeopathic DR and find a remedy for you and seek a good counselor... pills won't help usually... someone close to me had bad anxiety for years and years and took all sorts of pills to no avail, and then finally saw a good homeopathic DR and took a remedy for about 6 months, and has never felt better and doesn't take anything anymore and hasn't for years now...

so I am speaking from experience...

You need to figure out why you are depressed and work om it and it it is an imbalance then you need to get in balance naturally ...

DRs make money off of the drugs they prescribe you!

It's your spirit telling you that it's starving to death.

Go get this book and read it: http://www.amazon.com/Purpose-Driven-Lif...

I guarantee this will help- it's not on the NYT Bestsellers list for nothing. Good luck!

CALL your doc tomorrow morning and have him/her call you back. You can still go to the office on wed for a follow up. When there is something serious wrong, there is nothing wrong with calling your doc. Sounds like the antidepressant is inducing mania or akasthisia or something.

Seriously - my hubby has diabetes and we have had to call the doc a couple times, and I have bipolar disorder and end up calling my psychiatrist once in awhile. A LOT lately. So your doc will be just fine with your call!

Good luck to you!

PS I am going to add, sometimes a beer does help (if you are an adult). Alcohol is a sedative. If you are getting manic, it may make you feel a bit better. To be sure, call up a 24 hour pharmacy and make sure a small amount of alcohol is OK with the pills you take. I don't usually say this advice, either, but sometimes it helps in a real problem situation. Don't use it as a crutch normally tho, don't want to add other problems to your life.

stay strong! :P
find someone to talk to, to calm you down.
i agree with that other girl in saying to find a hobby. it REALLY does help. find something you really like doing or know you enjoy and make it a habit to set some time aside for it and do it! it helps get your mind onto doing something productive and that makes you feel happier. also, if you are interested in helping people or animals you should consider finding some volunteer work around your community, i know it may sounds corny but it could really help to calm your mind and have that gratification that your helping somebody else. its also a good way to keep yourself busy, which is what i always need to do when im feeling down. hope this helps!

Run. Run as hard as you can and listen to some powerful music while you're doing it. Running releases endorphins and can do wonders for depression. Lay off of caffeine, drink plenty of water, get to bed before 9, and tell yourself that it's not that long until Wednesday. If you need to cancel all of your plans until then, do so and get your head straight. If you have a car, go for a drive, roll all of your windows down, and sing to the top of your lungs to whatever music lifts you. Grab a friend and take a short road trip, or just go out to eat. Call someone who might understand, or distract yourself with Yahoo Answers if you have to. If it comes down to it, lie down and sleep. It's good that you have a doctor to see; maybe if you're really low you could call and have them work you in tomorrow.

This has happened to me when i tried different antidepressants, till i found one that worked good with my body! So if you are on something new, this could be it ( one made me feel so bad i stopped it immediately, and had the doctor call in something different.) It will get better, i know how you feel, try and relax , hope you feel better soon ( if you don;t feel better tom. call your doctor and tell them you have to get in, or go into the emergency if you feel really bad )

I fully agree with CatgirlKelly. Go to the E.R. if you have no transportation dial 911 and tell them what you told us. They will help you.

I have depression too. It's hard to get help from people who are not trained or haven't been through it them selves.

i don't know which anti-depressant ur taking but maybe u have to go on a higher dose bc u've been on the medication for a long time. or maybe u have to switch medications. i would definitely suggest calling your doctor. if u want to talk more about it i'm on aim online now. my screename is TheBTPYoda.

Sounds like maybe you are bipolar

find a nice place you can be alone
