- did it work?
- what side effects did you experience?

I take it as a mood stablizer for bipolar I disorder.
It's the first and only mood stablizer I've tried because it worked so well.
I've decreased my dose a lot now that I'm stable because the only side effect I had was cognitive dulling. It felt like it took effort to think and my mind was mostly blank all the time. I also had a lot of trouble finding words I wanted to use.
Overall the side effect sacrifices were worth levelling out my moods to a manageable degree.

I've never taken it but my sister is.
She's taking it for an anti-depressant and bi-polar disorder
She's a lot more calm and happier.
Side effect- drowsiness, some periods of excessive energy. Sometimes made her dizzy, side effects increased when energy drinks/coffee/other highly caffeinated beverages were consumed while on the medication.

i take it for my bipolar disorder....it's mainly used for that i think.
i take 100mg, and i've never had to change that since i got on it last march. yes, it works great for me. if you are just starting on that it takes 4 weeks for you to get up to 100mg. but it's worth it.
i have zerooooooooooo side effects.

I take 100 mg daily of lamictal as a mood stabiliser for bipolar disorder in conjunction with tegretol and cipramil. The lamictal stops the hypomanic aspects of my mixed affective episodes and the side effects from it is occasional memory lapses, ataxia and an inability to concentrate for long periods of time.

Yes, I am taking it right now. I think its my anti-depressant, or it could be for my mood swings, I get my meds confused - there are too many of them
Yes, it seems to be working.
Side effects, when I first started taking it, it made me a bit drowsy, but it didn't last long.

I'm currently taking lamotrigine to augment my antidepressant for treatment resistant depression. It has been a bit of a life saver, as I no longer hit rock bottom. As for side-effects, I have none at all.
