This is a good question! Life is all about happiness.

Lots of things make me happy. I think I'm happiest, recently, when I think about fond memories from the past--like my brother and I playing games or watching movies/TV shows together. Nostalgia, I guess.

I have one piano piece that I listen to that makes me think of someone special from my past, and that always brings back so many memories and makes me feel connected to them--like they're not gone. It's bittersweet, but I'd call it great happiness.

Finding love and realizing its existence makes me happy. Really happy. But, when I think about all the things that make me happy, I realize it's being with other people that makes me happy. The people I love and care about the most. Spending time with them and building memories.

Aside from that, I always feel connected to the world and nature when I hike up a tall mountain and can look down on the clouds or peer across the city I live in or across other mountains and forests.

There are many kinds of happiness, and I think they come in spurts. Finding long-term, constant happiness is hard and rare, and I think anyone who can find that has something special. It's all about perspective, in the end.

God makes me happy because I can always count on Him.
My family makes me happy because they keep me safe and give me lots of jokes :D
The sunlight makes me happy because it's just so pretty =]

what makes me happy? when i work with people with mental illnesses, it makes me feel good about myself. i like it bc it makes me help those in need when i understand what they are going thru. almost all the time. i like to see them smile when i serve lunch & help with the groups. its nice to be around people like that.

being with my friends and family, knowing that i did a good job =]

Happy thoughts make me happy. Like flowers and rainbows. I also like strawberries and bananas. Playing cards also makes me very happy.

And so does clothes and useless material items.

Whoever said money can't make you happy doesn't know where to shop!

I like to pet my cats and read.....Oh, and kill zombies.

God hes always there, and the boyfriend

i have given so much thought to this because my life was somewhat complex due to a health issue with someone in my family over which i had no control and made me unhappy for too long. just being unhappy makes you more unhappy. so i thought about my life and the things that gave me pleasure, and over the years i came up with these:

1. it makes me happy that i honestly respect myself enough to be who i am and not worry about what people think. in other words, i LIVE who i am.

2. gifting myself something i enjoy, for example, something as simple as a bubble bath each day/evening, sometimes with candles. also, meditation in the morning smooths out yesterday (but i do not live much in yesterday or fret about the future, i live in today, another thing that i feel happy about because it is not too much at one time), but more importantly, gives me tranquility for the day. my mind is set to enjoy my health and good fortune to be here, now.

3. i feel fantastic each day because it's so entirely different from any other day i ever lived. and i know it will never come back again, so i take it for what it's worth, even if those around me are in "bad moods." that is their own issue, it is not mine. i do not let them affect my inner being. that is tied into respecting myself--which i really feel is crucial.

4. i love looking at nature. it reminds me of the miracle of having been born to be witness to the evolutions of natural life, season to season, year to year: no one is me, no one ever was me or will be me, and it is the same for each living thing.

5. i wander back to the vistas that i saw when traveling. this is my secret realm. it is something like reading a book instead of watching the movie they made out of it. only you see your vista, or the vista that a scene in a book is presented, the way you see it. because it is unique, it makes me happy. for instance, i was traveling over the entire country of mexico by car back in 1974. i had to stop on the highway because cattle were crossing. i simply pulled over and looked at the soft, rolling sierra madres, so large, just like the rockies, but far softer. i saw a farmer down in a field that was so far from me because it was very deep that he appeared to be as small as an ant. i go back to that vision often.

6. a sort of constant knowledge that i lived my life my way brings me a happy feeling. i will continue to do that.

we get so little time to breathe in happiness. our lives are short. i know one thing: i do not wish to lie on my death bed regretting anything. some people say that regret is an unavoidable human condition. but it is not. when you think about the way you live your life, about how you wish to live it, about how you affect those that you love (which also give anyone happiness) in a positive way because you love them, just that removes regret that you could feel later if you never did that. i don't do things i know are wrongful because then later i would regret it.

i consider myself very lucky to have so much that makes me happy.
