I can't sleep or unwind. Help please?!

Question: I feel very anxious and hyper. I haven't been able to slow down in a while.

My "love" life seems to be some type of rollecoaster..just going from bad to worse ..all over the place! I have been extremelly stressed out in the past few months...breaking up with one guy... Just when I was thinking of taking a break..I met another guy! He seems so nice..I'm afraid to like him (I'm 27 he's 22). So I can't sleep -I'm stressing out about EVERYTHING, work-related..life-related...when I'm not stressing out about guys I'm stressing out about my age, my face, dark circles, acne etc..constantly worrying.

How do I calm down and make it through all this???? Is there a way to take control over my life again? I just want to feel care-free again!!!!!!

Philippians 4:6,7
Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which passes all understanding will keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.
Instead of trying to control your life, why not try asking the Lord to come into your life and straighten things out? It worked for me. I'll pray for you. Try reading the Bible (New Testament first), praying, and look for a good church. Also, take walks, drink chamomile tea (give up caffeine if you're on that), and take Vitamin B complex.

ask your doc for some zoloft.
and take a hot bath everynight before bed.
excersizing will help too

See anxiety treatments, at * ezy-build (below) in section 6. Set yourself a fixed limit for worrying about any particular subject, (say; 15 minutes) after which, resolve firmly to refuse to even consider that subject again on that day: realise and accept that to do otherwise would be counterproductive to your mental health, and enjoyment of life. Use the technique for reprogramming negative thoughts and internal monologue (self talk), on pages 2, and 2L, to help you in this, and consider carrying a wide rubber band in your pocket: put it on your wrist; stretch, and release, as a means of reinforcing it, and speeding up the process, re-pocketing it afterwards. Practise one of the relaxation methods on pages 2, 11, 2c, or 2i, daily, and when needed. Also, give the EFT version for use in public places, a good tryout, to see if it helps you (if you like, you can claim to have a headache, as you massage/lightly tap your temples) . Section 53, and pages 2, 2.q and 2.o at * http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris also refer. Insomnia, and stress are addressed in sections 3, and 42. Acne in section 13.

sports or hobbies are nice. pick up some substitute activity from your normal daily stuff and maybe things will turn around. good luck.

life is way too short to be stressing over anything! this can lead to some very serious health related issues. i'm not sure what your religious preference is but i know prayer worked for me because i was a big worrier and stressed about everything. that led me to getting high blood pressure and it's no fun to be on meds for the rest of your life. just pray and ask God to bring peace into your life as well as stability and rest. i also suggest that you get a cd with sounds of nature or if your not into that a nice jazz cd will help.

a natural sleep-aid is melatonin you can get it at probably any pharmacy or grocery store.. its easy because it doesnt require a prescription.. You might not need a prescription at all...it sounds like you really need someone to vent to... try going to a therapist...its might sound crazy but therapy can really help...just sitting there talking to someone about everything that you worry about...if thats not helping try getting a prescription for valium or xanax for when things get really crazy... but dont do it unless you have to... good luck..
