Are they prescription or can they be bought in store without physicians notice?

"Generic" drugs are simply prescription drugs without the "fancy" names to them. Like Xanax is alprazolam generically. They usually cost less than the "brand name" drug. Many drugs do not yet have a "generic" version, because they have a "patent" or "copyright" on them for a while before they can become generic.
