Does anyone know an easy way to memorize acupressure/acupuncture meridians and p!

Question:

Does anyone know an easy way to memorize acupressure/acupuncture meridians and points?

I have been trying to understand the oriental/chinese methods of relieving pain and ailments, but I am really stuck on the way the meridians run and work and the method to their numbering of the specific points. I am very serious and could use someone who is already knowledgeable in this to hopefully give me a better understanding to the method .

Answers:

I have some suggestions. 1) It helped me to make all the information into the form of a table or chart. Then I colored each line (each meridian for example) a different color so it stood out. I read the chart (just read it, not working hard to remember) several times each day for a month. It worked great, the colors helped me see it in my mind's eye when I needed to remember. 2) persuade a friend to let you draw each meridian on his or her body, marking off each point. Markers work fine for this and wash right off. It can really help you to learn, because it's real and touchable. 3) Say the names and points out loud and touch them on your own body, as well as looking at pictures. This gets the information into your brain three different ways (sight, sound, touch) so you remember better. Good luck!
