Answers:

Yes, Questrion, I've followed most of the questions you've asked. Namely, the ones regarding your brother and pills.

No need to go to the book for this one either. GG 249 is a classic; an American youth favorite.

Alprazolam - 2mg

Manufactured by Sandoz Incorporated, this pill has become very popular with young people today. Widely recognized as "Xanax", this same pill is what you may have heard others refer to as "bars".

Alprazolam is specific to a type of medicines known as benzodiazepines. Along with its chemical cousins lorazepam, chlonazepam, and diazepam, this type of medication was initially designed to treat anxiety disorders. Occasionally one may also be prescribed a BZO by their dentist after say, a root canal.

Alprazolam is specifically designed for anxiety treatment, however. The effects it has on the brain and body are very sedative. In higher doses, it is one of the closest feelings to alcohol intoxication as a pill can produce. However, it also comes with many other problems.

Because alprazolam is created to reduce and treat anxiety, it lowers inhibitions (the things that let you know when you're doing wrong). Things that once mattered don't even cross the mind while under the spell. Many abusers of this drug have made some decisions that adversely affect the rest of their lives - however unbeknownst to them whilst under the influence.

But one of the physical problems with this class of drug, is that its physical withdrawals are very serious. One who has a history of abusing this drug should not immediately quit altogether, because they WILL have a seizure. Benzo seizures are NOT pretty, and they can be life-threatening if the people around them do not properly act to have them stabilized. The best way is to talk to a doctor. Its not illegal to seek help if one has a problem.

I really hope you've taken in and understand the serious implications that go along with your brother having these kinds of pills. Especially these 3 particular kinds. If you're the only one that knows, and something happens to him, he could be hurt badly. I know its not my place to say it, but you ought to talk to him out of love as a brother first. And then seek some means of intervention, whether it be with your family or close others. I've seen too many patients come in for overdoses and seizures. You don't want that for someone you love, man. I know because I've been in that bed before I began in my line of work.

If you ever want to talk about anything, or you have any questions at all, e-mail me. I wish you the best of luck.

And, of course, the signature phrase:
Hope this helps ya, mate :)
