What is polyphasic sleep?!
Question:
What is polyphasic sleep?
Answers:
Polyphasic sleep is when the individual sleeps at different intervals during the day; or rather, naps. The duration of each nap is about 20-25 minutes, and they are spread out throughout the day in place of a long, full sleeping period as most of us take during the night. In my opinion, this is unhealthy because the individual does not reach all stages of sleep -- not every stage is alike! REM (rapid eye movement) is the most important stage; individuals who practice polyphasic sleep do not experience REM.
