Is it possible to do whole day meditation?!

Is it possible to do whole day meditation?

I had once tried to be aware of my breath for 1 whole day and on that day,i felt very calm and i treated my friends better.Is it alright if i be aware of my breathing for my whole life so that i treat people better?


Answers:

Awareness of breath is one of the method that will lead to meditation but that itself cannot be considered meditation. It can be called CONCENTRATION
to be more precise;
meditation is a "THOUGHTLESS STATE".

Concentration is "continuous flow of thought on one single object"
Meditation is dropping even that single thought.

According to various yogic scriptures, 12 minutes of concentration will lead to meditation
12 minutes of meditation can lead to samadhi.
