What probiotic works best to fight off Candida?!
Question: What probiotic works best to fight off Candida?
Have any of you had experience with Candida? Probiotics?
What probiotic best fights candida overgrowth, based on your experiences of what you've heard?
Thanks.

You probably do - Caprylic Acid will help, and any probiotic will help, even just acidophilus will help stem the growth. Don't eat any bread or sweets. And garlic capsules also help. You might want to take a visit to a health food store and look at all their options now - there are quite a few, one I'm thinking of in particular I just can't remember the name - I've used it and it's available even in regular pharmacies.
EDIT: got it - AZO yeast tablets - http://www.azoproducts.com/products/azo_…
It's around $9-10 dollars in a pharmacy.
Probiotics will do nothing for candida. If anything, priobiotics may help prevent antibiotic associated diarrhea, that's about it - they are seriously over hyped. Your symptoms don't sound like candida anyway. I would suggest a visit to the family doctor.

BTW, the AZO yeast tablets as recommended by someone else almost certainly won't do anything - they are homeopathic. That means they contain little or no active ingredients. In fact, if you look at the ingredients list you'll see a '6X' after each one. That means each ingredient has been diluted in water to one part in one million. They then drip one drop of this dilution onto a pill containing mostly sugar and in this case some probiotic. Shocking isn't it. That's why they advise you to use it in conjunction with traditional antifungal vaginal creams. Homeopathy is a scam, it has never been substantiated to work for any condition.
