The Dentist is right that you really need to check with your doctor to make sure it's not an obstruction or something. Also, if you've had gas on a regular basis, I'd recommend a good digestive enzyme to help break down your food more and a good Probiotic to help the absorption of the nutrients in your intestinal tract... that can help to prevent most gas problems in the future since gas is commonly caused by improper digestion. [edit]: Also, since you've had gastric bypass, you'd probably want to avoid antacids as that could make the situation worse.

Call your doctor's (surgeon's) office and tell the doc or the nurse what your symptoms are. They can refer you for testing. This is NOT normal. There may be something serious going on, so do not wait.
