Ground ginger is fine
you want to use 1/4 tsp /cup of boiling water

you can sweeten it with honey if you would like.

Now I do not know if you could do this with the ground ginger as I do not know how old it is
but if you go to a food store and get some fresh ginger root put 3 to 7 thin slices of the root in a cup and poor boiling water over it you need to cover the cup while it is steeping to keep the oils from evaporating wait five Min's and have her smell the vapours it will help without her even drinking it.

again you can sweeten it with honey

mint tea is also good for the tummy I found when I when through Kemo that mixing it with the ginger helped me

also making lots of mint tea up ahead of time and I kept it in the fridge and drank it cold as I found that some times hot drinks made my tummy worse.

see what works for her some times room temp drinks are best as they do not shock the tummy.

soda crackers seem to help as well .

There are some essential oils that can help to calm down the tummy and some to help sleep or to relax if you would like to know what ones feel free to email me.

Take care of both of you

it's not likely to be effective just as it is...but you could try adding to a hot mint tea...no caffine though!!!

i have heard that is good for nausea, but i dont know how to take it or how to mix it with something else

Yes, Ginger is good for nausea. She could try taking it in a capsule or tea as the straight powder may be too strong of a taste for her... I know some people who vomit if they have foods that taste too strong while they are nauseous.
If that doesn't help enough, you could also try Aloe Vera, Peppermint Oil, and/or DGL (Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice)... those are also natural products that help soothe the stomach. Good luck to both of you!

Can you run to the drug store and get her some ginger tea? If she can bear the taste of straight ginger then give her whatever you have. Ginger worked very well for me during pregnancy and migraines. You can also try adding it to juice, tea, or anyother fluids she is drinking. Good luck!

You can add the ground ginger to some hot tea. I do this all the time just because I like the taste of it. Don't add too much. Maybe 1/4 tsp. and then taste it to see if you want to add more. It is quite strong tasting and sort of peppery.
