What is a natural alternative to Adderall???!
Question: Adderall is a commonly prescribed treatment for ADHD. Like all prescription pills it does not come cheap and has various positive and negative side effects both long and short term. Is there a natural substance [anything from foods or herbs to witch craft] that actually has been proven to have therapeutic effects for ADHD. [And if not, is it better ,or at least safe, to not take anything at all.]

Absolutely, yes. There have been a number of studies done that have shown that people diagnosed with ADD get a huge benefit from Fish Oil. It sounds too simple, but most of the studies show that better results are achieved from simple Fish Oil than Ritalin. Do a search on Yahoo (like the one I listed at the bottom) for it and you'll see how well it does.
Also, since most cases of ADD tend to be children, it should be noted that children should not be given supplements that don't have children's doses listed unless a doctor has said otherwise. Other herbs may be beneficial like Ginkgo Biloba, Phosphatidylserine, and Vinpocetine... but children should not normally be given any of those.
