Has anyone ever tried or know ??!

Question: Has anyone ever tried or know of someone who has had Hypnotherapy ???
I was thinking of doing a 'Lilly Allen' and see if it would help me shift a stone in weight and get motivated to do more exercise.
What do you guys think of Hypnotherapy ??? ALSO.... any ideas on the prices ???

I tried it to get over a phobia of insects i've had since i was a kid. Didn't work too well for me, though I've heard reliable anecdotes about it working for people for weight loss. I live in the US, and paid $400 for a series of like five or six sessions with CD's to take home. I won't say it was a total waste, because for a few months afterwards I did feel a BIT less fear when seeing a bug, but it wasn't substantial and I reverted to how I used to feel after a little while.

Dunno--I don't want to discourage you bc i do think it can work and is worth a shot; it just didn't take too well in my situation.

I believe it's best not to let someone have control of your mind. Is there no one you could team up with so you both can encourage/motivate each other while trying to lose weight and exercise. You may benefit more in a teamwork situation. The normal dieting does not work, but a change of lifestyle that incorporates a balance nutritious low fat/sugar/ salt diet, including eating more foods in their natural state + good daily amount of veg/fruit (aiming to get to at least 5 portions of fruit/veg daily), drinking enough water to keep well hydrated, getting exercise (even if its walking), getting enough sleep/rest, sunlight/daylight, temperate/moderation using good things while avoiding bad/unhealthy stuff eg: smoking, high caffeine intake etc., exercise faith, exercise your will power - even if you make mistakes/slip up, start again no matter how many times - you're mind will be strengthen in the end. Aim at a lifestyle change and not a quick fix. Good luck.
