I want a professional opinion about what I'm experiencing after using Netti-!

Question: I know I asked this before, but I guess I didn't really get the answers I needed
I have been using one for 2 weeks. It seems to be working well. I also have been on antibiotics for a week for a sinus infection. I normally wouldn't use antibiotics, but I tried everything else and I was blowing straight blood. Well now that I have been on antibiotics for 6 days, I am still blowing like almost florescent yellow snot. Does anyone know if this is normal, or if I should go back into my Doctor???
Also my right sinus doesn't seem to be draining at all when using the Netti-pot.

Oh, that's unfortunate. I would definitely tell your prescribing doctor about the yellow phlegm/snot that you are seeing, as it may be related to the antibiotic or an illness... that is very abnormal unless you're sick. Normally, snot should be clear unless it's dirty, you're sick, or you have allergies.

If your right sinus isn't draining with the Neti Pot, it sounds like either it's blocked or you may be inadvertently closing it off (which I've heard of a few people doing). Using a Neti Pot is really going against the normal feel of what your sinuses are supposed to do, so it does take some getting used to. It takes time for most people to successfully use a Neti Pot without getting water down their throat and/or getting it to go the way they want it to go.
If your sinus isn't blocked or stuffed (which it sounds like it might be now from what you say about the mucus), you may need to learn how to relax it. Once your nose is clear, try slow breathing exercises to breathe through your nose only... that often helps people to learn how to loosen or relax their nasal passage. Good luck!

Nasal sprays and antibiotics only give you a bit of short term relief and nasal sprays can actually damage your sinuses as seems to be happening to you.

Garlic is very good for sinus problems and is both an antibacterial agent and an antimicrobial agent and will boost your immune system. Taking 6 high strength odourless 3,000 mg garlic oil capsules every day will help. You can get them in the Herron brand.

Replacing mucus generating dairy products and red meat with soy milk and white meat will also help.

Some apple cider vinegar every day will also help a bit.
