Take lots of vitamin C - about 3,000 mg. daily. Best is Ester C because it won't upset your bowels. Take 4 droppers of Echinacea root extract every hour for 4 hours, then one dropperful every 4 hours thereafter. Drink nettles tea or take nettles extract capsules - 2 caps every 4 hours to dry your sinuses. Drink mullein tea as needed for the cough. If your phlegm is colored yellow or green, your sinuses are infected and you need to add colloidal silver or goldenseal root extract to the mix for the next 10 days. (Don't take goldenseal if you're pregnant or nursing.)

None of this will make you "goofy" or sleepy, but you do also need to get an extra couple of hours sleep every day while you're fighting this off.

-Dilute one lemon in a glass of warm water, and add a teaspoon of honey. Drink once or twice daily.
-Drink hot liquid such as herbal teas and clear soups.
-Get extra rest.

I have found the healing power of touch to be helpful in freeing me of sickness in a short period of time.

You can start by placing one hand on your belly and the other hand between your throat and your chest. Then all you need to do is ask for the light that heals to enter your body through your hands. Allow this energy to run for as long as your body feels is necessary.

This treatment not only helps to rid you of your sickness, but it can also strengthen your immunity against sickness in the future.

Best is to chew fresh ginger with salt . Dip our legs will knee in warm water or hot water depends upon your resistance with sea salt in it and then, Dip in normal water. Do it thrice in a day.

Do saline nasal washes twice a day to relieve the nasal congestion. To do them get a baby syringe, some salt and lukewarm tap water. Use 1/4 teaspoon of salt in one cup of warm water. Suck it up in the baby syrine and squirt in your nose. You should use on both sides. Keep rinsing until you clean all the junk out of your nose. Making this a daily practice tremendously reduces the number of colds, viruses and other infections you get.

For the chest congestion try Mucinex or plain Robitussin. They are the same product. Robitussin is a liquid and Mucinex is a pill. Neither require a prescription. They are only a liquifactant that will make the congestion thinner and easier to cough up and spit out. They do not contain decongestants or antihistamines. They work in the same way you would add more liquid to a cake batter making it thinner.

Remember, that coughing produces congestion and congestion produces coughing. It is a vicious cycle so anything you do to break the cycle promotes healing. These are two things you can do to help your body heal. However, if you continue to feel sick it might be an indication of bronchitis, pneumonia or a sinus infection. You really should consider seeing an MD and getting his/her advice if it continues.
