If I think that I'm coming down with a cold, will a Sauna help?!

Question: or will it make me feel worse?

I take a lot of sauna's, but not ever when I was sick before....

Just wondering

As long as you are using it safely, it shouldn't make you feel worse. It does have the potential of making you feel better, since a sauna is detoxifying. If you have a fever though, I would forgo the sauna.

Try taking some apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp or so in a glass of apple juice. Have some food with garlic in it, and some nice hot tea with honey. All three of those will definitely help with the cold symptoms, and maybe nip it in the bud. Best tea to have is mullein - an herb known for being beneficial with respiratory ailments.

Cut out refined sugars, which are immune suppressants - overdose on sugar is often the cause of onset of flu or cold. Especially avoid white sugar and high fructose corn syrup. You can do turbinado, honey and molasses, or Stevia as a sugar substitute (it is a super sweet plant derivative). No artificial sweeteners either as they metabolize in ways that will not help your body deal with the cold.

Hope you feel great again soon.

Only if the temp in the sauna is over 104 and it is a far infrared sauna, then it will mimic a fever and dramatically boost white blood cells by 64 times the normal level and cure your cold. But I would also take 3 raw garlic cloves 3 times a day, this alone will cure your cold in a day or two, it tastes better if you take it on toast. My sister had a cold and she took nine raw garlic cloves throughout the day and the next day she had no cold, extremely powerful stuff.

Happy Health.

I also agree with what Zambiti said.
