Natural path to better motivation/focus?!

Question: Thanks for reading. Background: I was an incredibly motivated student in high school graduated top of my class, got into a well respected university. I have aspirations to become a doctor and am hoping to attend Osteopathic medical school. I have been plagued, however, with a huge lack of motivation since essentially my freshman year of college. I still have the same dreams, but no day to day motivation to do anything to obtain those dreams. My grades slacked and I was unable to enter med school directly. I took some time off to work after getting my bachelors and am trying to get back into school for the fall of 2008. I'm looking for suggestions of natural ways to get my motivation and focus back up to where they were. I enjoy things like yoga and the outdoors; I'm interested in the study of energies (chakras) and meditation, although I haven't studied them much. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I appreciate your help.

Several suggestions, try to be as balanced as you can by sleeping and eating at regular intervals and doing those things that you enjou like yoga and spending time outdoors.

In addition, keeping good nutrition by eating lots of freah vegetables and some fresh fruits and staying hydrated, avoiding too much sugar, caffeine, white flour and alcohol.

Receiving Reiki from an experienced Reiki practioner and possibley learning level 1 Reiki for daily self healing can help to keep you balanced and focused and clear in your intention.

In addition, cultivating the habit of doing what you need to do even when you don't feel motovated. It can help to set up a way to reward yourself when you get things done but the bottom line is that throughout life there will be times when you don't feel motivated to do what needs to be done but you just do it anyways.

I believe that is a huge part of success, successful people do what they know they need to do in order to achieve their goals and get it done even when they feel unmotivated.

Good luck you you!

Sounds like you have burn-out. I also wanted to go back and get my MD, but just like you I've lost the motivation that used to drive me. I think I'm just tired. Might be if you were able to get away for a little relaxation time you could get that GO energy back and put it into motion. Another problem I'm having is that my kids are just too young right now and I know in the back of my mind that it would be more than I could handle right now. If you come up with a better solution let me know so we can both take the next step. Sorry I'm not more help.

Stop smoking pot!!!!

I like the reiki/energy work suggestion.
I recommend the essential oil blend called Clarity by Young Living.
