What it boils down to in the end is what WORKS. A good parents gets the care for his child that WORKS. Whatever that is.

In my books vaccines and MDs are more abuse not homeopathy. We avoid both at all cost, and use homeopathy when necessary, as well as natural remedies and healing. We also use faith healing, but Scientology - well, it depends on the parents and how they use or abuse the religion. But, that is a question for Religion and Spirituality.

hmmm ask a parent whose child became autistic imediately after a "safe" vaccination!

absolutely right it is. A good parent will research any treatment that their child is receiving. If you research where homoeopathy comes from and the theories behind it no responsible parent would trust it. The problem is that the origins of this fad aren't well enough exposed (something I will endeavour to change) all people hear is anecdotes of people saying it's good and fair enough they try it. If they get better, from say their cold they give it a thumbs up. fair enough..? I've never died from a cold. But I'm sure that no right minded and informed person would ever use it. ask a homoeopathy sympathiser straight out if they acknowledge that it's just water. try it. you'll get a range of amusing answers. they can't win. if they admit it's just water then there's no reason for it to work. if they claim it's not they'll get called out straight away for lying.

In 1997, the British journal Lancet published a meta-analysis that concluded: "We found insufficient evidence . . . that homeopathy is clearly efficacious for any single clinical condition."

The overall state of homeopathic research is easy to describe: Most is worthless, and no homeopathic product has been proven effective for any therapeutic purpose.

In 1999, The Medical Letter on Drugs and Therapeutics, which is the medical profession's most trusted drug advisory newsletter, summed up what health professionals should be should be telling patients: "The chemical content of homeopathic products is often undefined, and some are so diluted that they are unlikely to contain any of the original material. These products have not been proven effective for any clinical condition. There is no good reason to use them

Sorry Gandolf. homeopathy has always been a crock. It wasn't the same theory as vacines. vacines give your immune system a dead form of something to practice on like giving a lion cub a carcass to play with. Homeopathy is on the principle that like cures like. it's wasn't preventative. It's like saying if I have a virus already then give me more of that virus diluted and it will cure me. Pure crap

I think it constitutes child abuse because it's not in the best interests of the child. You have well meaning parents buying into something that doesn't work in the hopes that it does work.

The question is not Scientology or Homeopathy, its what is best for the child. There have been increasing evidence of the connect between many of our health issues and the vaccine's that are supposed to protect us. In a previous post on this subject someone mentioned it was almost criminal what they have suppressed about the effects of vaccines.

The correct approach is to blend traditional medicine and alternative medicine that give the best of both. My children have been vaccine free for 12+ years and blended with a good diet and nutritional supplementation only have to visit the doctor very rarely (unless they have a broken arm or the like). This is not because we don't want them to be treated by the doctor (some of my friends are doctors), but they just don't need to because we have reduced the intake of the "crap" that we get fed here in the US and increased the correct types of foods/nutrition.

It is not abuse to children!!!!!!! Our culture is ignorant to the benefits of homopathic practices, which cure the ROOT of the problem, not medicate the symptoms. My aunt's son had cancer and she had to take him out of school for 4 weeks (alternative medicine and biofeedback treatment.) They had to secretly do it because they could have been accused of child abuse if since they did not get him chemo. He is now cured of cancer through the alternative means, but it is sad that they had to hide what they choose to do.

They think that their "tech" is going to cure them because according to the book dianetics, (their bible) scientology auditing call "cure most ills". Because of this belief scientologists refrain from going to the doctor or taking their medication and as a result many have died.

Scientologists in the main think that there is a lot of corruption in the world, and big business run by evil people out to make a buck at the expense of everything, especially the health of people on Earth. They also don't believe in doctors (they consider them butchers). So they flock to "alternative medicine".

Fads also run through the Scientologists like wildfire. If one of them says vaccines are evil (and says why), it will spread amongst most of the Scientologists within a short period of time.

Scientologists don't like doctors, medicine, or surgery. They prefer to go to chiropractors and anyone else.

Many Scientologist take their children out of public schools because they don't want their kids to be vaccinated (in school districts which require vaccinations for enrollment).

???? Yes of course it is.

But Im not sure where you got your examples. For example, scientology would never go against vaccines. They are all for doctors, medicines, surgery, etc. They only go against treatments that are not cures. Such as uppers or downers being given to push a person into a more "normal" state without trying to find out what the problem is and cure it. Mostly that puts them at odds with psychiatrists, not doctors. (Im an ex-scientologist so most of the scarey information about them I consider laughable)

And most homopathic groups are for vaccines also. Heck they invented them. The concept of giving a person a weak version of something to fight off the bigger badder version was a homopathic remedy until fairly recently.
