Question: Accutane? I was just reading up on it and it seems to be a scary medication to use; with it's numerous side effects and how it can cause depression, suicide etc. So I'm just wondering if anyone has ever used it, what kinds of side effects did you experience, and did it actually help to clear up your acne?

i thought i was the only one out there who took it besides my mother. i guess not.
yes i was also nervous when i read about it, but i really wanted to take it because my mom, 20 years earlier, had bad acne and her skin is now clear. If u decide to go on it make sure that you have people around you that love you, example, support from your friends and family. Side effects i had were physical pain, example, i'd wake up in the morning and feel like i exercised a lot the night before. I also experienced lower back pain. I was working a lot and i felt it. So i'd recommend to take it easy if u start to have back pain. I also somewhat cried at first, but the good thing was that i had lots of support from my mother and friends. Make sure, if you are a girl, that you are abistent, or you are on the right birth control that the gyn. will prescribe. Also, every month before you receive your prescription your doctor has to go online and answer some questions, and afterwards you need to do the same. After answering the questions you are able to pick up your prescription at the pharmacy. When you are prescribed accutane, your dermatologist will explain everything to you in detail.
So, from my personal experience, my skin is clear and im 100% happy, and there was nothing else out there that could've helped me the way accutane did!!!

The side effects are a bit overrated actually. It does work, very well, it will in time actually make your body immune to acne. I had it really bad as a kid and I haven't gotten a zit since, aside from crazy stressed out times in my life. I do have a friend who attributes her depression now to acutane, but I am doubtful, she has done a lot of other drugs both legal and illegal during and after her treatments.
Acutane is a very serious drug and should only be used with Dr. supervision. However, if you have serious acne it is well worth it (the kind that causes scars). IF you just have some normal acne then it is not worth it - you will outgrow it anyway.
the most effective way to keep healthy skin is sex -sex- and more sex !! acne comes from lack of sex its true if you have sex on a regular basis and you must climax on a regular basis thats the #1 cure for acne and the side affects are safe if you play it safe !! try it ! have a climax 5 times with in 2 days and you will see an improvement in your acne !!
